Overview

Valash offers some of the best sweeping potential in Temtem. Madness Buff allows it to amplify its solid offensive presence to dangerous levels. Its access to the Scavenger trait allows it to heal after every knockout on the field, restoring the health it loses to Madness Buff or from enemy attacks. Even without Madness Buff, Valash exerts pressure well on turn 1 and can trigger ally Quetza-leño synergies. Due to its low natural bulk there is a learning curve to play Valash, but learning how to play it well can reward a player immensely. Valash can also run a physical set, taking advantage of a wide array of techniques.

Description

(1.3 DUKE'S NOTES - SORRY, STILL JUST A SCAV BUILD HERE, GOTTA WRITE THE JOAT BUILD AFTER I'M DONE DOING ALL THESE UPDATES - THIS TAKES FOREVER, MAN.)

Special-Attacking Valash has long seen a perch near the top of most competitive tierlists. Recent patches have threatened that somewhat, lowering the power level of Crystal Spikes, Madness Buff, and Scavenger. Still, Valash is one of the premier setup sweepers, famous for overcoming lineups potentially all by itself.

The strategy is high-risk, but fairly straightforward: with the aid of a stamina item, Valash finds a spot to Madness Buff, and swings away with Crystal Spikes until the game is over. Crystal Dust is stamina efficiency and can reach a high level of speed with a wind synergy, and Ninja Jutsu lets Valash go over the top to KO weak threats that resist crystal.

Valash does its best when buffed or supported by techniques like Generify from Hedgine, Sacrifice from Kinu, or strong water and mental damage to threaten melee, earth, and fire tems. Wiplump is a good example.
